Yacht Harbor and Beach, Santa Barbara, Calif.
Back
Inscription | Long Beach Friday 8/2. My dears, We drove past this harbor today, there is a wonderful boulevard next to the beach. We drove 424 miles coming down. -then Dick drove us all around tonight, - the rainbow pier is lovely, - a half circle built out into the ocean and the boulevard lights are in rainbow colors and are surely pretty, - We drove around it tonight also. We are in an apt. hotel right on the beach, - where Dick stayed last summer. We can hear the breakers plainly. The "Lexington" and "Santiago" of the U.S. fleet are anchored right out from here. Will drive down to San Diego tomorrow, but be here tomorrow night and Monday, - then we'll go to Pasadena. Love to you all. Grandma. Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Bateman 3830 Thornwell Road Ashland Ky. |
