Wall -- Northern perimeter wall of open yard built around the main structure in the area. Well built wall consisting of two lines of masonry, with 5 surviving courses. Use was made f stones of various sizes, mainly shale and monzo granite. Possible -- Identical with main structure of the area, probably 9th century phase.

Western and eastern corners with western and eastern perimeter walls of the open yard.

Area stratum R2b
Length: 5m, Width: 104 cm, 2 lines, 5 courses -- basic rock cutting of some of the larger stones. Debris of the wall can be seen by both faces. Eaxcavated only part of the central segment of the wall. Built over layers of crushed slag. Elevation of lowest course similar to that of bottom of main struct.
