Zhang Pingjie is a critic and curator. He studied art in Shanghai and Belgium. He divides his time between NYC and Shanghai. He, sister and brother-in-law rent the top floor of my house. He is best know in the U.S. as the founder and curator of REEL China Documentary Biennial which introduced Chinese independent and underground documentary film to Chinese and American audiences.
