A client, left, asks his ancestors why they are making his children sick; the diviner looks for the answer in a handful of lime. 19 May 1964. Haliona on left is the client, Ri'ibala, holding lime, is the diviner. Ri'ibala is probably from southern Kwaio, where this kind of divination is said to have originated and is more common.
