Gifting and wedding celebration 1 of 2
- Collection
- Description
-
Wedding gifts are piled onto a mat in front of the marrying couple in Labo. The bride is nearly invisible behind new plastic basins sitting on her lap. The couple has been sprinkled with white talcum powder. This custom was introduced from another cultural group because the Mewun thought it suited the celebration.
