- Description
-
Sea surface samples are collected twice weekly in collaboration with the Scripps Pier Shore Station component of the Southern California Coastal Ocean Observing System (SCCOOS). Samples for flow cytometry are fixed to 0.25 % with glutaraldehyde, pre-filtered through a 60 micron mesh, and run with and without SYBR Green on a Guava 11HT flow cytometer. Fisher 123count eBeads are used as an internal standard. The expected concentration of beads is 5000 per mL.
