A fisherman poses near some boats at Kasongole village
- Collection
- Description
-
Because of the density of its fisheries, Lake Mweru Wantipa was the source of a fairly lucrative fishing industry. Kasongole was the largest fishing camp on the lake, evolving within a few years to be one of the larger villages in the district. In the background, groups of men relax in the shade of simple gazebos (nsaka).
