REFUGEES FROM SANTANDER POUR INTO FRENCH PORTS -- DANGEROUS SITUATION. -- A serious situation has arisen at Bayonne and other French ports as thousands of refugees pour in from Santander. The refugees are being brought in Spanish fishing boats, many of which had to escape from Santander under cover of darkness. The trawlers arrive with every foot of deck space occupied by men, women, and children, and the situation is made more difficult by the fact, that many militia men still have machine-guns, hand grenades, and other weapons, which they are reluctant to give up. Photo shows a trawler packed with refugees arriving at Bayonne from Santander.
