Zhao Yangying in Beijing house
赵燕英
- Collection
- Description
-
Zhao Yangying was a documentary film director for Beijing T.V. I talked her into doing a documentary on China's alternative culture during the late 1970s and early 1980s. I helped organize a dinner and later a lunch for many of the leading figures in these cultural movements. Originally, this project was suppose to be a joint project, but later I turned it over to her since I live in the U.S. That documentary film has not been made for a lot of complicated reasons. But Zhao Yangying still has the footage from her many interviews.
