Broadside announcement from the governor of the of the State of Mexico communicating a decree issued by the Congress of the State of Mexico. The first section, dated May 29, 1835, has nine articles listing new tariff regulations on commercial exports and imports of flour, fruits, cotton, wool, fabric, tobacco, and aguardiente (rum made from cane sugar) to and from the State of Mexico. The second section includes seventeen articles which are put in place as a precaution to clarify the new tariff regulations and to ensure that they are carried out properly.
