Old Chapel arches

Inscription | Mission San Juan Capistrano, California. Founded Nov. 1st, 1776. The Old Chapel Arches in Front Mission Garden, looking towards the padres quarters. The Chapel has been in use since 1890. It was originally the living rooms of the fathers in charge. Many of the objects in the present church were used in the great Stone Church before it fell in the earthquake of 1812. |
