sk - slag layer -- SK (Metallurgical layer) outside building -- Metallurgical work area outside structure. NW yellowish soft and powdery soil, in contrast to more ashy and larger slag chunks to the south. -- Lare pinkish area next to section wall in south, next to a grey ashy area -- perhaps furnace remains? Yellowish sediment next to the wall beneath a pinkish layer -- perhaps plaster.

Copper metal, slag, glassy slag, furnace fragments, a great many tuyere pipes, several possibly Midianite sherds. Greater concentrations of slag and tuyere pipes in the south next to the section wall.
- Note

A cavity, possibly representing decayed charcoal or wood, was struck just south of the wall joint.
