Manuscript journal of a Pacific whaling voyage. The Favorite fished from the Arctic Sea to the New Zealand ground, recruiting at Hawaii for three cycles over four years. The Favorite continued whaling into the Sea of Japan, up to the Sea of Okhotsk, before returning to Hawaii and then heading for home.
