Lake Mead from Observation Point Near Boulder Dam

Inscription | Observation Point is 1/8 mile from the main highway, 1 1/2 miles from Boulder Dam on the Nevada side. Lake Mead is approximately 8 miles wide at this point and extends through Boulder Canyon and Grand Canyon 115 miles upstream. The island to the left is called Hill 13, with Horseshoe Island beyond. |
