Alfonso García Romero, a los setenta y un años en 2009, relata sus experiencias como militante clandestino durante el franquismo. Estuvo involucrado en la distribución de propaganda (Mundo Obrero), y describe la organización de las Comisiones Obreras. Alfonso fue detenido a principios de la década de 1960 y condenado a varios años de prisión. Primero estuvo encarcelado en Carabanchel, luego en Cáceres. Celebró la muerte de Franco con su esposa, llamando a la experiencia "una alegría inmensa." Expresa su firme apoyo a los esfuerzos por restaurar la memoria histórica de la represión durante los años franquistas. Él cree que hay una necesidad de una nueva constitución verdaderamente democrática en España.
Alfonso García Romero, seventy-one years of age in 2009, describes his experiences as an underground militant during the Francoist period. He was involved in distribution of propaganda (Mundo Obrero), and describes the organization of the Comisiones Obreras. Alfonso was detained in the early 1960s and sentenced to several years of prison. He was first incarcerated at Carabanchel, then at Cáceres. He celebrated the death of Franco with his wife, calling the experience "una alegria inmensa" (an immense joy). He expresses strong support for efforts to restore historical memory of the repression during the Francoist years. He advocates the need for a new truly democratic constitution in Spain
