Remnants of an Iron-working site, near Sumbu Town, Kaputa District

This site was relatively recently in use, probably thirty or forty years old. Local smiths usually made tools such as hoes and axes, and sometimes made parts to repair old firearms, such as muzzle loading guns used for hunting.
