Kudzu Outside Rural Santo
- Collection
- Description
-
Kudzu or ivy hemp is a fast growing vine that the U.S. Army introduced to the New Hebrides during World War II. It provided fast-growing natural camouflage for tanks and planes. In Bislama, people call Kudzu 'Busrop Blon Amerika'. 'Busrop' in Bislama simply means vine so 'busrop blon Amerika' means American vine.
