David Ungerleider, S.J. was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1977. He has degrees in Philosophy and Letters from the University of St. Louis, and in Religious Sciences from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. Ungerleider has a MA in Social Anthropology from the National School of Anthropology and History, Mexico City. He is President of the Iberoamericana University Foundation in San Diego, CA and is director of the Manresa Prayer House and Project Coordinator for its Foundation. Ungerleider serves as a member of the Society of Jesus' Mexican Province outreach for Social Assistance Projects to the Tarahumara indigenous people in Chihuahua, Mexico. He has travelled widely on the Baja California Peninsula and has a special interest in 18th Century Baja California missions.
