José María Gutiérrez de la Torre nació en 1941 en Madrid. José María recuenta su participación en la organización marxista Proletario en la década de 1960. Describe su papel en la producción y distribución de propaganda anti-Franquista. José María relata que el 4 de abril de 1966, fue detenido, fue llevado a la Dirección General de Seguridad, y fue torturado. Cuenta que estuvo preso en la cárcel de Carabanchel, donde participó en una huelga de hambre. Como castigo, José María fue trasladado a la cárcel en Soria. Nota que pasó la última parte de su sentencia en la cárcel de Segovia. José María fue dejado en libertad el 20 de febrero de 1970.
José María Gutiérrez de la Torre was born in 1941 in Madrid. José María recounts his participation in the Marxist organization Proletario (Proletarian) in the 1960s. He describes his role in the production and distribution of anti-Francoist propaganda. José María relates that on April 4, 1966, he was detained, was taken to the Dirección General de Seguridad (General Security Directorate), and was tortured. He tells of being incarcerated in the Carabanchel Prison, where he took part in a hunger strike. As punishment, José María was transferred to a prison in Soria. He notes spending the last part of his sentence in the Segovia prison. Jose María was released on February 20, 1970
