Fiesta days at Santa Barbara Mission
Back
Inscription | Long Beach. - Friday 8/2 - '40. Dearest Lou: We drove down here today 424 miles, and such scenery! Stopped at this mission, - there are a number on the way and we are going on to San Diego tomorrow, - will see Capistrano on the way, The weather is fine, - hot in the sun, but a cool breeze, - we didn't perspire today, - is delightfully cool tonight. We are in an apartment hotel, - 4 windows overlooking the ocean, - right on the beach. The Lexington and Saratoga, - aeroplane carriers of the U.S. fleet are anchored right out from L. Beach. I'll be going to bed early, - my eyes are tired, and there will be more to see tomorrow. Love to you and Frank. Horace and Dick send love also. Ada. Mrs. F.H. Huber 223 Yankee Road Middletown Ohio. |
