Social gathering at the home of Mr. Viv Shone, Kasama, Northern Province

Mr. Shone was originally from South Africa but emigrated to what was then Northern Rhodesia in the 1940s. He built up a large business that included a large shop in Kasama, a sprawling farm and livestock operation, and s freight shipping line, with a large number of semi-trailer trucks. All businesses fell under the name "Kasembo" enterprises.
