Description

Cultural Anthropologist Harold Marion Ross conducted research among the Baegu people of Malaita in the Solomon Islands. The 1⁄4 inch - Reel to Reel Magnetic Tape recordings capture the Baegu performing traditional vocal and instrumental music, modern music, and reciting folklore.
The recordings were digitized through support by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
