Audiovisual recordings from the collection of poet and translator Armand Schwerner. There are many sound and video recordings of Schwerner performing and discussing pieces of his large work, "The Tablets." Also included are stage interpretations of "The Tablets." As a faculty member at The College of Staten Island, Schwerner performed and taught there, as well as gave a commencement address for the 1996 graduates. Prominent collaborators include Ellen Zweig and Harvey Shapiro. A video recording of a reading event in honor of Schwerner's life and work, that took place briefly preceding Schwerner's passing, is included in this collection.
