Christopher Philip Mackenzie Ashton, writer and journalist, had a long residency in Papua New Guinea, when he wrote for the Pacific Islands Monthly and produced radio documentaries and interviews with prominent Papua New Guineans. His collection contain interviews and documentaries recorded between 1972 and 1975 in Papua New Guinea.
The recordings were digitized through support by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. - Creation Date
