Artist's Books

Martha Longenecker Roth traveled the world with an artist’s insight and a collector’s intuition, gathering extraordinary folk art—from silk screens and pottery to textiles, to her iconic terra cotta horses that once watched over the Pacific from the Geisel House. Her collections now reside in Special Collections & Archives at UC San Diego, where they enrich study and spark imagination. By supporting the Artist’s Books Fund, donors help preserve this legacy and strengthen the art collections of the Geisel Library, making it possible for students, researchers, and the community to engage with the cultural vision that defined Longenecker Roth’s life.
