Ensenada. In the 1950s Ensenada's population was about 22,000. Today (2003) Ensenada is a bustling city of 370,000. These 12 images of Ensenada were made between 1953 and 1958, and depict a tranquil seaside city on the brink of rapid growth. Faustino Perez, whose house is depicted in one of the photographs, was a friend and traveling companion of Gulick's.
