Research Resources

The Library offers a variety of services and resources to help with research, both in person and online.

Online resource guides for specific subjects have been written by librarians specializing in each field. They offer information on articles, books, and more that are related to your subject, along with how to contact your subject librarian!

Our website offers a 24/7 online chat service where you can pose research and other general questions. Librarians from across the country are ready to assist you, even when writing your final research paper at 3AM!

You can also stop by the Research Assistance Desk for help or attend a library workshop.  Need specialized technology or data-related help?  Experts in the Data & GIS Lab or the Digital Media Lab can assist both new and advanced users.

Or, UC San Diego faculty, staff, and students can email LinkedInLibrary@ucsd.edu to get a one-week license for linkedinlearning.com, a bank of over 100,000 video tutorials on software, technology, design, photography, business, life skills, and more.
