Did you know that the UC San Diego Library has an online collection of research data from researchers right here on campus? It’s true, and our librarians have pulled together the following list of datasets of particular interest for you:
- Text from 27 years of California local tax ballot measures
- Data from studies published by the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment (CAICE), an NSF-funded center on campus
- Collection of 1.25 million Jupyter notebooks used to investigate uses of computational notebooks
- 3D reconstructions from the 9,000-year-old archaeological site in Çatalhöyük, Turkey
- Data related to the international research project Southwest Pacific Ocean Circulation and Climate Experiment (SPICE)
- Capstone projects from the Data Science & Engineering Master of Advanced Study
- Raw and derived microscopy images from the Cell Centered Database, deposited at the Library for long-term preservation and access
Hosting these datasets is only one of many areas in which the Library supports UC San Diego researchers throughout the research and data life cycle. Whether you need assistance with creating a data management plan, training on data management best practices, guidance on depositing your data in a repository, or help creating a digital object identifier (DOI) for your research outputs, the Library’s Research Data Curation program is here to help.
