CSUSM Leaves San Diego Circuit Consortium Catalog

Books on shelves at the UC San Diego Library.

California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) is withdrawing from the Circuit reciprocal borrowing system. They stopped lending out their own materials on April 1, but will continue to borrow other libraries’ materials through Circuit until June 30.

CSUSM items currently on loan through Circuit (including on Hold shelves) will remain under the terms of the original agreement, including up to three renewals. UC San Diego and CSUSM have a reciprocal Interlibrary Loan (ILL) agreement that will expedite ILL requests through a courier service. UC San Diego users can continue to borrow from other Circuit partners and through Interlibrary Loan.

The San Diego Circuit is a service designed to allow library users from participating libraries to quickly borrow books from other San Diego Circuit libraries if the books are not owned by their home library or if their library’s copy is already checked-out.
