  5. Henry W. (Henry William) Menard, Robert S. (Robert Sinclair) Dietz, and unidentified man, on Bikini Atoll of the Marshall Islands during the Midpac Expedition. Menard was a marine geology professor and Dietz was a geophysicist and oceanographer who conducted pioneering research. Both taught at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
