The data in this database were collected by the Gulf of California Marine Program from one of the most important buyers in the community of Golfo de Santa Clara, Sonora, from the commercial fishery for gulf corvina, Spanish Mackerel and shrimp from 2006 to 2015. The data is collected monthly from the community. This data can be used to estimate average catch and income per trip more accurately than with the data obtained from catch notifications from CONAPESCA (National Fisheries Commission). This can also aid in estimating more accurate values that can be helpful in determining compensations for fishermen during bans on fishing with gillnets in the region, as to estimate fishing effort, trips, etc.
