"Killing pigs for another phrase of the ceremonial cycle. The man holding the pig is one of the nine men who have just returned from a two year labor contract on the coast. The first such Manga group to go out of the Jimi as labourers. When they returned they had to go through purification ceremonies." MSS187, Box 44, Folder 9.
