Esta grates yams for lap lap in the interior kitchen

The traditional meal, lap lap, is a pancake-shaped pudding of grated tuber roots (taro, yam, sweet potato, cassava), or banana, sweetened with coconut milk, fortified with pieces of meat or fish and often layers of leaves from edible hibiscus.
