Surface Tension and Surface Pressure data was collected using Langmuir trough and Tensiometer head purchased from KSV Nima for DPPA on water and various salt solutions. IRRAS Data: IRRAS spectra were collected with a custom built setup (refer to manuscript for details and experimental conditions) housed in the sample chamber of a commercial PerkinElmer Spec100 FTIR Spectrometer, also for DPPA on water and various salt solutions. Data was analyzed in OriginPro, but can be done in any similar data analysis/graphing software. IRRAS spectra were baseline corrected using a 4th order polynomial in the region of interest fitted after peaks were removed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description of Data: Surface Tension Titration data are held in the following csv files: "DPPA_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" "DAG_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" "DAP_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" "SA_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" Files are named "XXX_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" where XXX is the lipid. Lipid abbreviations are as follows: DPPA, 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate; DAG, dipalmitoyl-sn-glycerol; DAP, 1,2-dipalmitoyl-3-dimethylammonium-propane; SA, stearic acid. Within the "XXX_All_Metals_SurfaceTensionTitration" files contain the data used to plot the Surface Tension Salt Titration figures for all cations. There are 3 columns for each cation, the first column is the Concentration in units of M, the second column is the surface Tension in units of mN/m, the third column is the Delta Surface Tension in units of mN/m ---------------------- Surface Pressure Isotherm data are held in the following csv file: "SurfacePressureIsotherms_DPPAonWater_AllSalts" Within the "SurfacePressureIsotherms_DPPAonWater_AllSalts" file contains the data used to plot the Surface Pressure-Area Isotherm figures for all cations. There are 2 columns for each cation at 0.1 M, the first column is the Mean Molecular Area (MMA) in units of A^2, the 2nd column is the Surface Pressure (SP) in units of (mN/m). ---------------------- IRRAS Spectra data data are held in the following csv file: "IRRAS_BackgroundSubtractedSpectra_0.1M_All_Metals_PhosphateRegion" "IRRAS_RawSpectra_0.1M_All_Metals_RestofRegion" "IRRAS_BackgroundSubtractedSpectra_0.1M_All_Metals_PhosphateRegion" contains the data used to plot the IRRAS spectra in the phosphate region already background baseline corrected "IRRAS_RawSpectra_0.1M_All_Metals_RestofRegion" contains IRRAS spectra data for the entire region collected (3000-800 cm-1) without any background baseline correction The first column is the Wavenumber in units of cm-1, the other columns are the corresponding IRRAS intensity data in Reflectance-Absorbance in units of (-log(R/R0)) In Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment (CAICE) Collection.
