Research ship R/V Argo moored in Pago Pago Harbor. In 1962-63 The Argo established the world's record for distance traveled in a single expedition when she broke the long-standing record of the Challenger expedition by logging 86,000 miles in a 15-month trip to the Indian Ocean, on Expedition Lusiad.
