Looking north up a side cañon east of the first mission, El Rosario Valley
- Collection
- Description
-
Looking north up a side cañon east of the first mission, Rosario Valley. The Lower and Upper valley-floor terraces, the 100-foot and 300-foot older valley terraces, and at least one other terrace are here represented, out of reach of the erosive attacks of the Rosario River. At the head of the cañon can be seen the southern edge of the main 800-foot north meas. Note the striking sparseness of vegetation on these steep, south-facing, desert slopes.
