As I reflected upon my first nine weeks here at UCSD, I realized I never felt discriminated against as an Asian. I figured it was perhaps because the Asian population is the majority at this school. However after talking to my Hispanic roommate, she felt the same exact thing. Among the group of friends I made from my time here, we range from Middle Eastern to Asian to Caucasian. It may be that Sixth College really is its own little camp or that I've only been here for three months, but I have yet to experience or witness discrimination on this campus.
