Marge Bradner, wife to Scripps Institution of Oceanography's Hugh Bradner, she sailed and helped him with his scientific voyage. Later she would write about her experiences, titled "Seismic Summer: the story of eleven men and one woman sailing across the South Pacific to study the quivering sea floor." She explained this photo as a "Tokelau-style rectangular fale with the square white Congregational Church in the background." Circa 1963.
