Hisatake Okada, a paleontologist from Yamagata University, Japan, and a specialist in nannofossils, dating site fossils in the paleo laboratory aboard the D/V Glomar Challenger (ship) during Leg 58 of the Deep Sea Drilling Project. A nannofossil is a very small fossil organism, especially one of the nannoplankton. 1978.
