Lead dancers Na'oni'au and Ruita come up the middle.

Na'oni'au is in the lead position, i na'o. This is a gelema dance in which the lead dancer, here Na'oni'au, brushes up against each of the other dancers, subtly sorcerizing them. But in the end the other men find him out, and kill him with their dance sticks. Part of the sango ritual.
