Marge Bradner, wife to Scripps Institution of Oceanography's Hugh Bradner, she sailed and helped him with his scientific voyage. Later she would write about her experiences, titled "Seismic Summer: the story of eleven men and one woman sailing across the South Pacific to study the quivering sea floor." She explained this photo as "The sphere on the DWYN WEN." Circa 1963.
