The Gobal Marine-designed drilling ship, built by Levinston Shipbuilding, Orange, Texas, will work for Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, in performance of Deep-Sea Drilling Project in Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Drilling is scheduled to commence in June 1968.
