Saelasi Lounga was at this time a South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC) Christian living on the coast at Uru Harbour, but was formerly an important and knowledgeable ancestral priest for the Kwangafi area. He died in the early 1990s.
'Ola na mae is a death or killing; kinds of spirits (adalo) and miscellaneous taboos.
Gulanga is generic for medicine/curing. Felo is a type of cordyline the leaves of which are used for divination
To aru'ia is to bespell
An omea is a mortuary feast.
Kasanga is exchanging money with someone at a feast.
Arumaa is a debt.
Nunui'ola is the shade of aperson, living or dead.
Talainununa is to chase a spirit away from the hamlet after its mortuary feast has been held, by dashing about shouting.
Tagii'au of Saua (at end) talks about law and government (which were favorite rhetorical topics of his).
Rest of side A and into side B is a Keesing lecture on “ethnoscience.”
