UCSD Family

This is a collage of photos taken at my residence hall and in the Sixth college res hall quad. The collage is centered around a chalking someone in my building did during "Chalk the Block" that says "708 means family". There are various other photographs of the images from our building bulletin board which focuses on inclusive language.

I am a first year from Sixth College majoring in Communication with a minor in Music. I was born in Santa Monica, CA and raised in Montebello, CA. I am an Armenian- American woman who loves food, music, and people.

For the Culture, Art, and Technology (CAT) 1: Migration Narratives in the Sixth College writing program taught by Amanda Solomon in the Fall of 2016, students were asked to think about how they view the current campus climate and respond to the fourth chapter of Angela Kong's dissertation, "Re-examining Diversity Policy at University of California, San Diego: The Racial Politics of Asian Americans" Thesis (Ph. D.)--University of California, San Diego, 2014.
