This volume from the East Sepik District, Yangoru, 1949 - 1953 centers around the period of time after World War II. It includes information about damage after the War, the landscape which varied from rivers and mountainsides, and local diet, including fish from the Sepik river, livestock, and crops like sago and yams. The patrol officers aimed to monitor and increase hygeine and health in villages by repairing latrines, and also took routine census information.
