Remote Resources for UC San Diego Library Users

The Library offers expert help and many services that you can access remotely.


Online Resources

VPN connection is required to access some resources outside the UC San Diego Campus. Learn more about connecting from off-campus.

If a resource is not available online, you can request scanning of UCSD materials in Roger.


Online Help 24/7

Users can request real-time online research assistance through our 24/7 online chat service and also via email or directly to liaisons. The 24/7 service is staffed by a national network of librarians while email is staffed exclusively by UC San Diego librarians.


Renewing Materials

Materials can be renewed when logged in to My Library Account in Roger. See details about renewing materials.


Returning Materials

Renew materials when you can. Drive-up book drops are located at the end of Hopkins Drive, just west of Geisel Library. You may also return items by mail:
