Papers of collector and newsletter publisher Irene Fager. The papers relate to the publication of One Half Fathom and include correspondence, subject files - focused on submersibles, and album pages. Fager's papers were separated from those of Edward Cargile. There is no indication as to why Cargile had these or how he obtained them. Some of Fager's materials may still be a part of Cargile's collection, as materials were not removed when their provenance was not apparent.
The papers are arranged in three series: 1) CORRESPONDENCE, 2) SUBJECT FILES, and 3) ALBUM PAGES.
SERIES 1) CORRESPONDENCE: Letters regarding subscriptions to One Half Fathom, as well as cover requests and news. Several letters are from crew members from various ships and submarines.
