Administrative History

The SIO Public Affairs Office was established in the early 1950s and was headed by Thomas Manar. Nelson Fuller directed the office from 1965-1978. Fuller was succeeded by his assistant, Jacqueline Parker, who directed the office from 1978-1991. During Parker's tenure, the office was renamed the Public Information Office. In 1992, Cindy Clark became director and the office was renamed SIO Communications.
